SAN FRANCISCO – Aug. 26, 2016 – Magic Jigsaw Puzzles, the premiere digital jigsaw puzzle app, and National Geographic, today unveiled an assortment of new puzzle packs featuring stunning images from National Geographic’s iconic photo library. Four new themed packs – Endangered Animals, U.S. National Parks, World Heritage and YourShot – are available now on the free jigsaw puzzle app for Android and iOS devices, on Amazon, Facebook and in the Windows Store.

Being a digital puzzle game we decided to use the power of modern technologies to spread the word and help people. For the month of April all purchases from puzzle packs of Magic Jigsaw Puzzle game marked with the Team Fox logo were donated to support Parkinson’s research through The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

With Hearthstone’s booming popularity, the age of the digital CCG has dawned. As is the case with advent horizons like this, a lot of games can feel like copycats. Star Crusade, I’m happy to report, feels nothing like a copycat…and that’s excluding the sci-fi setting.

Developed by ZiMAD Games, Star Crusade is like Hearthstone only in that it’s a digital game. After that, the two couldn’t be more removed from each other. Deck build strategy is easily the biggest challenge of the game, with the amount of cards in your deck dictating your base hit points. The more cards, the more health, but the longer it can take to get your strategy running. Less cards deploy faster, but run the risk of being steamrolled.

Ever wish you could play Hearthstone but with a sci-fi feel instead? Apparently the people at ZiMAD Games felt that way, as they’re behind the recent early access online CCG Star Crusade. I admit that during the first few games, the game could easily be mistaken for an HS clone in space. However, little differences start to add up to create something that at least proved to me the game immediately has a different meta-game thanwhat I’d find in Hearthstone. Oh, and the idea of a 2v2 co-op mode is something we’ll probably not see in HS for awhile, so I figured I’d talk to producer Alex Rechevskiy about where the game is right now and where it’s going.
